EXPLORE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAS ON LAKE COMO

Starting from Como we will be able to admire the imposing Villa Olmo, in Cernobbio Villa Erba, followed by the famous Villa D’Este, the most famous and oldest 5-star hotel on Lake Como, immediately after Villa Pizzo, at the end of its extensive garden, Villa le Fontanelle, famous for having been the residence of Gianni Versace, on the other side in Blevio, we find the villa Cagni Troubetzkoy, Villa Cademartori, the elegant Mandarin Oriental hotel, Villa Mia, destination of the luxurious holidays of the late Sultan of Saudi Arabia Bin Al Saud, the hotel il Sereno another renowned 5-star hotel, up to the fascinating and historic Villa Pliniana, residence of Pliny the Younger.

Returning to the other side of the lake we will find in Moltrasio Villa Passalacqua now considered the best hotel in the world, once a private residence that hosted illustrious and famous personalities of the past such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Leonardo Da Vinci, now an exclusive destination for luxurious holidays. In Urio, once the property of Opus Day with its majestic gardens, the castle of Urio, recently purchased by the Louis Vuitton. In Laglio  we found the famous Villa Oleandra, property of the even more famous Hollywood actor George Clooney.

There are many other fantastic villas with their fairytale gardens facing the lake, until we reach Sala Comacina we will meet the only island of the lake, rich in history and ruins dating back to the year 1000, in Ossuccio another historic and famous residence, villa Balbiano now location for pharaonic weddings, holidays and photographic and film sets of the caliber of House of Gucci with a respectable cast such as Lady Gaga and Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Jared Leto, and Jeremy Irons, just to name a few.

A little further on, considered by many to be the most beautiful villa on Lake Como, here is Villa La Casinella with its iconic cypresses, surrounded by maniacally manicured and perfect gardens, so much so as to make this mansion surreal, now owned by the British Millionaire Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson.

After this wonder, another fairytale mansion, now a property of the FAI, among the most visited in Italy we are in front of Villa Del Balbianello, also famous for its fabulous gardens that slope down to the lake, an iconic place and locations for weddings and photo shoots, as well as chosen as a film set for many films of the caliber of Star Wars and James Bond, continuing our journey once we reach Tremezzo the most famous botanical garden of the whole lake, the majestic Villa Carlotta, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, on our right the Pearl of the lake, Bellagio with the Villa Melzi, continuing in the direction of Colico, on the shore of Lecco, Varenna, with the beautiful Villa Monastero and the Castle of Vezio, returning to the shore of the province of Como to Acquaseria Villa la Gaeta with its unbridled Art Nouveau style.
